Don’t Throw That Away!

April 4, 2011

I have a bottle of Vicodin and I’m never throwing it away. I spent good money on those drugs I never used and I might really need them some day.  The date on the label says I am to discard after 2/13. Not gonna. That bottle can sit in my cabinet for years. And I recently learned this is perfectly acceptable for most drugs.

This article is a decade old, but still verifiable:

So there you go: Don’t waste your money throwing away and restocking meds you rarely use –- tuck ‘em away in a cool, dry place for when you need ‘em. “Waste not, want not, I always say”!

  1. Oh how I agree with this one. You never know when Vicodin might come in handy. It works much better than most the other stuff when you have really bad pain.

I'd love to know what you're thinking right now...
